What I want to talk about today is Twitter, Unless you have not been on the computer, read a magazine or even had the T.V. on in the past few months, you have probably heard of Twitter.

Twitter is the hottest thing out right now. It has quickly become the most popular social networking site out. I believe it has over 6 million users and is growing day by day. It is being used by celebrities, major networks, T.V. shows, etc.

It is now THE place to be online and communicate.

Some people are using for fun, communicate with friends and many people are using it to promote their businesses…no matter what kind of business. You can interact with thousands of people in “real time”.

It wasn’t until recently that I truly saw the potential in Twitter and realized just how BIG this thing really was…

Being in the Home Business Industry, it is one of my main arsenals and I love using it to communicate, meet people and generate leads for my business.

You can check out my page and follow me if you like. http://www.twitter.com/DeanPerrone

With Twitter, you can literally generate countless leads with One single Tweet. People are doing it every day. Twitter is so powerful, as you can tweet, people can Retweet your tweet and there is just an amazing amount of exposure.
Do you really see how powerful that is?

This isn’t like PPC with Google or Yahoo or MSN. This is ALL FREE!!

If you are online and trying to build your business, Twitter is an absolute must for your arsenal of marketing strategies. It is such a great place to form powerful relationships.
If you don’t have a Twitter account yet, it is very easy to set up, just to go www.Twitter.com and set one up, it literally takes a couple of minutes.

Here is a Step by Step Guide to using Twitter
________________________________________________________________

- Go to www.twitter.com to create an account if you haven’t already done so.  Try to be creative with your bio (make it unique and catchy) and make sure to include your website link (A blog link is always preferred if you have one).

- Set up a professional Twitter background with free tools www.TwitBacks.com.  There are others out there, you could just Google twitter backgrounds and find some others.

- This is a must! Go to www.tweetlater.com to set up a free account with this awesome Twitter tool. This will allow you to send automated welcome messages to new followers and create settings that will automatically follow those who follow you or ‘unfollow’ those who do not follow you. You can also schedule tweets to go out all day long for you…100% automated if you like.

- I would recommend purchasing a Twitter tool like Hummingbird or Twitter friend adder to add followers at a much faster pace then one by one on your own. Go to www.livelybrowser.com to purchase the Twitter Friend Adder for $50 or www.Hummingbird.com. Hummingbird is more expensive but is a great tool.  This is optional, but highly recommended. You can automatically add Twitter friends with these simple and easy tools. If you’re on a budget, just add friends manually by finding others in your same niche.

- Here are some great tools to use to help you find other like-minded people to network with:
www.twellow.com
www.search.twitter.com
www.twollo.com

- Find good content to share with others. Do not spam your link… Twitter success is dependent on your ability to share valuable content and information with your network.

Share anything that is:
*Inspirational
*Interesting
*Newsworthy
*Helpful
*Enlightening
*Educational
*Entertaining

- You can share your own videos, quotes, or blog posts or re-syndicate content that you like from other people. www.digg.com and www.popurls.com are great places to find good content.

- It’s not enough to just add new friends, you must actually INTERACT with them. Use the ‘direct message’ and @reply features to interact personally with your new friends.

- Here are some other great Twitter tools:
www.tweetdeck.com
www.twitpic.com
________________________________________________________________

There are many other Twitter tools out there, these are just the ones I typically use myself. I absolutely love the friend adders and TweetDeck. Those are great!
Remember, try to tweet interesting stuff and provide value to your followers.
